Photo editing can be a fun hobby and if you want to dig into the subject deeply then it can be very rewarding financially. Under the correct circumstances, it can also be emotionally rewarding when you rescue a bad or damaged image.
With the enormous popularity of camera phones and DSLR cameras there are now more pictures being taken than ever before in human history. Unfortunately, a huge number of them require some kind of modification, such as cropping, color correction, dodging/burning, fill flash or exposure correction.
In addition to images that need some modification, you may find yourself faced with the daunting task of repairing an old and damaged historically relevant (at least to you) family photos. This type of photo editing can be very challenging and very rewarding.
With the enormous popularity of camera phones, it didn’t take long for app developers to jump into the photo editing category. For the most part, the apps were somewhat limited and generally didn’t offer many adjustments, favoring a “one adjustment fits all” approach.
The tutorials that follow will not deal with the “one adjustment fits all” products because, quite frankly, where’s the fun in that?
It’s long been said that the journey to any destination or goal is often more exciting and exhilarating than arriving at the end goal. what this means is that we’re going to have fun during our photo editing journeys!
